This is the F1 Filter. Most Dirt Devils give you this filter reference number on the back or the bottom of the machine.
This filter is a tapered filter (it is larger on the bottom, where the hole is, than on the top). The total length is 8" it measures 3. 25" in diameter on the bottom where the hole is with a 1. 75" diameter hole. It measures 2. 75" in diameter at the top. If your filter is the one that is totally cylindrical (top and bottom are the same size) this one will not fit. Please see Dirt Devil Perma-Filter 2-860211-000

The Series can be located on the bottom or back of your machine Example (MFG Code C00B) THE FIRST LETTER SIGNIFIES THE MONTH, THE NEXT TWO NUMBERS THE YEAR, THE LAST LETTER IS THE SERIES. THUS, A MACHINE WITH A MFG CODE OF "C00B" WOULD HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED IN MARCH OF 2000 AND BE A B SERIES UNIT.
